Dr. Blissett is a research and development professional with over 8 years experience within both chemical and formulation engineering functions in academia and industry. He has developed modelling solutions in MS Excel using VBA customized functionality for engineering, physical sciences, and venture finance applications. Dr. Blissett has applied skills in the area of health economic modeling specializing in the optimization of VBA code to implement health economic analysis.
Dr. Blissett has optimised the Excel model structure and VBA code for a Markov model to demonstrate the cost effectiveness of novel regimens in the treatment of HCV. He has also developed a prevalence-based steady state Markov model to simulate the future burden of disease in NAFLD/NASH. Dr. Blissett has both built de novo applications or adapted programs developed in multiple languages and various platforms innumerous combinations.
Prior to joining Maple Dr. Blissett worked as a freelance VBA modeling consultant, and prior to that he worked as a Chemical Engineer at Air Products Plc and as Research Engineer at Dupost Teijin Films.
Dr. Blisset attended the University of Birmingham, UK, where he earned his Formulation Engineering Doctorate degree prior to that, he attended University of Bath, UK where he earned a Masters in Chemical Engineering and graduated with honours.
